A bronze sculpture which memorialises the role of the horse-in-war. Created in 1990, this sculpture depicts a Boer War era British trooper of the mounted infantry watering his exhausted mount. The title of the piece is taken from John Milton: They also serve who only stand and wait. This edition is sold out, although on rare occasions, one of the nine casts comes up for auction.
